MANILA - The MPL Philippines' league operations release their verdict regarding the alleged game-fixing case of current contenders ONIC Philippines.

In their statement, the league said that they have conducted an investigation on the gambling allegations regarding the Sonics and its players.

"The league found no evidence to prove that the team, the management, and its players are involved in any illegal activities," MPL Philippines has said.

The statement debunked the screenshots circulated last April 26, coincidentally when ONIC Philippines was dealt a 0-2 upset by now-playoff-bound Minana EVOS.

The league has also coordinated with ONIC Philippines on the matter, concluding that screenshots were indeed manipulated.

"There were no financial records to prove that the alleged gambling activity pushed through," MPL Philippines added.

ONIC Philippines meanwhile has posted its own statement, denouncing the allegations.

"We have received reports involving our player in a maliciously EDITED screenshot. What has been currently spreading is absolutely FAKE," the organization has said.

The org also said that they are seeking legal assistance, adding that the act violated the Anti-Cybercrime Act, and Articles 171 and 172 of the Revised Penal Code.
