MAKATI - Five of six slots locked in.

Minana EVOS secures a postseason appearance in the MPL Philippines Season 13 as they sweep championship contenders in ONIC PH to start the league's sixth week Friday.

The victory also meant that the EVOS branch in the Philippines will appear in their first MPL Philippines playoffs since Season 9 under the name Nexplay EVOS.

Roamer John "Perkziva" Sumawan and veteran Jeniel "Haze" Bata-anon played their first MPL-PH Season 13 game, with Brian Milez "SpiderMilez" Santos and Lance "Lancecy" Cunanan taking the backseat.

It was a resounding Game 1 for Minana EVOS as Jan Dominic "Domeng" del Rosario led the men in purple to a 16-4 beatdown of the Sonics.

The prized gold laner tallied six kills and an assist with the Harith as the game MVP, while Ken "Kzen" Pile scored five kills and six assists with the Fredrinn.

King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez, playing the Roger, had a hard time in the jungle with only three assists and two deaths while not securing any major objective.

Perkziva and Haze came big in the second game with Minana beating ONIC in 18 minutes, with the former's Grock getting a kill and five crucial assists, while the latter's Vexana scored two kills and six assists.

Despite K1NGKONG getting the third lord of the game, Domeng scored two crucial kills against Jem "Jem" Lanojan and Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez in the lord pit with Haze providing the assists, putting them at an advantage.

From there, it was all Minana as they head straight to the exposed ONIC PH base and locked their playoff ticket.

Minana EVOS will see ECHO tomorrow in hopes of another upset, while ONIC PH will see another playoff hopeful in Blacklist International on Sunday.
