Tensions rose late in the NCAA game between Mapua and EAC at the FilOil Flying V Arena as a melee took place.
The free-for-all began when the Generals' John Tayongtong appeared to take down the Cardinals' C.J. Isit while setting up the offense for them.
Isit's teammate Hesed Gabo then charged to Tayongtong and shoved him.
The shoving continued until Tayongtong punched Isit to the face, further escalating the brawl that saw almost all the players coming to the court.
Only EAC's Jozhua General and Mapua's Jessie Saitanan stayed at their respective benches during the incident.
All the players involved in the fracas got thrown out of the playing court.
With the Generals leading, 86-77, with 28.5 seconds left in the game, the game was awarded to them, ending a six-game slump.
The technical win also stopped Mapua's three-game winning run.
