After many eyebrows were raised when Manny Pacquiao took his talents to the PBA by becoming the Kia Sorentos' playing coach, Daniel Padilla got drafted to the PBA D-League.

The teen actor and singer became the AMA Titans' 15th round pick and the last player to be chosen at the PBA D-League Draft at the PBA office in Quezon City.

It turned out, the "Nasa Iyo na ang Lahat" hitmaker and "She's Dating the Gangster" male lead does not just endorse AMA but he also studies at the same school taking up Information Technology according to a report.

PBA D-League tournament director Eric Castro later confirmed that he is indeed part of the draft pool as he is a protected pick by the Titans, who are allowed to directly bring in their entire roster who played in this year's NAASCU cagefest.

AMA, a newcomer to the D-League, will indeed take its entire team led by Rizalde Angeles and Josue Diswe to the league.

The Titans will join fellow NAASCU competitors CEU Scorpions, who will represent Cafe France, and St. Clare Saints, who will represent Racal Motor Sales, another debuting team, for this season that will kick off on October 17.

Padilla, however, made it clear that playing in the PBA D-League is not part of his plans right now.

According to Spin.PH, Padilla, through Star Magic, said that he will not suit up for the Titans, although he admitted that he wants to play in the PBA.
