The UP Fighting Maroons took home the UAAP poomsae championship at the FilOil Fying V Arena after edging the De La Salle Green Archers via tiebreaker.
Both the Maroons and the Archers got the best medal tallies with two golds, a silver, and a bronze each.
But UP claimed the overall title after having a better score than La Salle by just 0.13 point.
Dustin Mella and Janna Oliva took home the mixed pair gold with a 7.81 score, beating La Salle (7.73) and UST (7.69).
Oliva then teamed up with Franchesca Torres and Cyrmyr Perlas to win the women's team event against UST and FEU.
Last year's World Poomsae Champion Rinna Babanto led the Archers in their own gold medal hunt as she topped the women's individual poomsae against FEU's Faye Crisostomo and Jocel Lyn Ninobla.
Raphael Mella, Sidney Lopez, and Justin Andal gave La Salle the other gold medal after winning the men's team event.
Meanwhile, the Filipino contingent that took home the gold in the Asian Poomsae Championship swept the men's individual event with UST's Marvin Gabriel taking the gold against Dustin and Raphael Mella.
Gabriel's win turned out to be the Growling Tigers' only gold in the competition.
UST also took two silvers and two bronzes to finish third.
The Tamaraws, on the other hand, are the only other team that walked away with the medal in the tournament after winning a silver and a bronze.
