The NU Bulldogs completed a 9-0 sweep of the UAAP men's badminton tournament after blanking La Salle, 3-0, at the Rizal Memorial Badminton Courts in Manila City.
Joper Escueta toppled E.J. Boac, 21-11, 21-11, in the first singles, while Peter Magnaye beat Kenneth Monterubio, 21-18, 21-17, in the other singles match.
Escueta and Magnaye completed the series win by dispatching Carlos Cayanan and Gerald Sibayan, 21-8, 21-10, in the lone doubles match.
Escueta won the season MVP honors, while teammate Alvin Morada got the rookie of the year award. Jojo Mance was named the coach of the year.
