Perpetual Help and JRU clash in a very important NCAA game at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.

Both the Altas and the Heavy Bombers will play in the 4:00 PM game that could either team at solo third place.

The win will also pull either the Altas or the Heavy Bombers closer to idle San Beda Red Lions and Arellano Chiefs in the race for the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.

Coach Aric Del Rosario and the rest of the Altas, fresh from a 101-86 rout of the Chiefs on Monday, looks to avenge their painful 61-62 defeat against the Heavy Bombers in the first round where Dave Sanchez scored the winning basket at the final buzzer.

“It was a heartbreaking loss because we were one defensive stop away from winning it,” said Del Rosario.

On the other hand, JRU coach Vergel Meneses will try to carry the defensive intensity his team had against Lyceum on Monday to the Perpetual Help game.

He said, “We’re coming off one of our best defensive efforts. Hopefully, we could bring that kind of defensive intensity against a strong offensive team like Perpetual.”

In the earlier game at 2:00 PM, the Pirates will try to bounce back from that loss to the Heavy Bombers as they take on the Mapua Cardinals.
