The Philippine team finally scored an Asian Games medal as Daniel Parantac won the silver medal in the men's taijiquan event of the wushu competition in Incheon, South Korea.
The Baguio-based Parantac finished second in the event after tallying 9.68 points.
He beat Myanmar's Chan Ko Ko Nyein by just 0.03 point. The Burmese settled for the bronze.
Parantac improved from his 14th place finish in the past Asiad with his silver-medal performance.
Only China's Chen Zhouli bettered Parantac with a 9.78 to capture the gold.
