Red Warriors, Bulldogs collide for last UAAP semis berth

UE and NU will clash one more time to decide who will complete the UAAP Final Four cast at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The match, which was almost called off due to Tropical Storm Mario, will push through as scheduled at 4:00 PM after an announcement from the league.

Both the Red Warriors and the Bulldogs are tied in fourth place at the end of the elimination round at 9-5.

The winner of the rubber match will take on top-seeded Ateneo in the Final Four with the latter holding a twice-to-beat advantage.

UE coach Derrick Pumaren will bank on Roi Sumang, Charles Mammie, and Bong Galanza.

Coach Eric Altamirano, on the other hand, will look on Alfred Aroga and Gelo Alolino to spearhead NU.

Both teams split their elimination round assignments with the Warriors bucking the absence of Sumang to win in the second round.
