Another basketball superstar will step on the grounds of the basketball-crazy country of the Philippines this year as South Korean legend Shin Dong-Pa will grace the much-anticipated meeting between the Changwon Sakers and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Shin, who once averaged more than 30 points a game during the 1969 FIBA Asia Championship, including a 48-point explosion against the Robert Jaworski-led Philippine team, will return to the Philippines to be the special guest in the Sakers-Gin Kings game dubbed as the "Asian Basketball Showdown".

This will not be Shin's first time in the Philippines as he also attended last year's FIBA Asia Championship, where Gilas Pilipinas and South Korea fought to the finish in the semifinal match won by Gilas.

Shin was also the former vice-president of the Korean Basketball League, where the Sakers are the defending champions.
