Jay Washington will make a comeback to the Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters after a trade between the Texters and two other PBA clubs was approved by the Commissioner's Office.

Talk 'n Text acquired Washington from GlobalPort and rookie Matt Rosser from NLEX in the said transaction.

In return, the Batang Pier got the Tropang Texters' Nonoy Baclao and a 2017 first round pick.

On the other hand, the Road Warriors nabbed rookie Harold Arboleda and two second round picks.

Washington, the number one pick in the 2005 PBA Draft, started his playing career with Talk 'n Text before getting stints for San Miguel and GlobalPort.

On the other hand, Baclao will also get a reunion of sorts with the GlobalPort franchise.

Baclao was part of the Mikee Romero-bankrolled AirAsia Patriots which won the first ABL title.

Meanwhile, although NLEX lost its first round pick in Rosser, the team got a reliable clutch scorer in Arboleda.

Arboleda provided the winning free throws for his college team Perpetual Help Altas in their NCAA game against the San Beda Red Lions being coached by, interestingly enough, NLEX mentor Boyet Fernandez.
