A day after NU dislodged Ateneo's twice-to-beat advantage to enter the UAAP men's basketball finals, Ateneo got back at NU in boys' volleyball play.
It was the Blue Eaglets' turn to squander the Bullpups' twice-to-beat edge in the stepladder semifinals of the boys' volleyball action at the Adamson Gym in Manila City after a 25-20, 28-26, 27-25 win in the rubber match.
The victory put the Blue Eaglets, who won three straight win-or-go-home matches, to the Finals, where the UE Pages are waiting.
The Pages own a thrice-to-beat advantage, equivalent to a 1-0 lead in a best-of-five series, after sweeping their elimination round campaign.
