The long wait for an Asian Games gold medal for the Philippines is over as Olympian Daniel Caluag topped the BMX race finals series in Incheon, South Korea.
Caluag swept the three races in the championship round to best his brother Chris, Japan's Masahiro Sampei, and China's Zhu Yan.
Sampei, who finished second in the first two races but slipped to third in the finale, still took home the silver medal.
Zhu, who finished in fifth place in the first race, bounced back in the last two races to capture the bronze medal.
Chris Caluag, despite finishing third in the first race, missed the podium after fourth and fifth respectively in the last two.
