Fil-Am guard Stephen Holt joins Cavs training camp

Another Filipino-American will have his NBA dream pushing through.

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed guard Stephen Holt to a contract enabling him to join the team's training camp.

The 6-4 guard from Saint Mary's averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per ballgame in his final year.

He, along with fellow Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson, declared for this year's NBA Draft.

But unlike Clarkson who got drafted in the second round, Holt was not chosen.

He, however, joined the Atlanta Hawks summer league team and had an impressive 46% clip from beyond the arc in five games.

Holts will join LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and 14 other Cavs in the training camp.
