NLEX pulled away in the fourth quarter to trounce Ginebra, 97-81, in the nightcap of the PBA Philippine Cup games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
After engaging in a close battle for most of the game, the Road Warriors, who trailed 67-71 early in the fourth, unleashed a 30-10 run in the end to spoil the Gin Kings' bid for a third straight win in their first Metro Manila game.
Mark Cardona scored 25 points on 11-of-21 shooting along with six rebounds to lead NLEX, which won its second game in three starts.
Chris Ellis converted 19 points for Ginebra, which ties NLEX with the loss.
