In a huge lift to his NBA dream, Batang Gilas standout Kobe Paras received a basketball scholarship offer from no less than a US NCAA powerhouse team, the UCLA Bruins.
Compton Magic, the one who trains the 6-6 high-flyer formerly from La Salle Greenhills, confirmed the news through Twitter.

The current Cathedral High School student previously received offers from five other colleges.
The one from the Bruins, however, outshine the others considering their rich college basketball history.
UCLA, presently mentored by Steve Alford, won 11 US NCAA titles, the most in the tournament history, and groomed the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Reggie Miller, and current NBA superstars Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love.
