The NCAA basketball season is now nearing its conclusion as the Final Four will rage on at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. In the first semifinal showdown, the top-seeded San Beda Red Lions take on the fourth-seeded Perpetual Help Altas. Here's a preview of the game.

History: It's a rematch of last year's Final Four as the Red Lions turned back the Altas in that game. The difference from last year, though, is that Scottie Thompson is at his 100% self again after an injury-plagued season.

What Now: Both teams split their elimination round series, but both games were tight. So expect this game to be close to call. San Beda almost lost the top spot after falling thrice, but thanks to a late slump by Arellano, San Beda reclaimed the top spot. Perpetual Help made the Final Four right on the final day after Letran shocked, but Perpetual Help lost a fourth quarter lead and fell to JRU in a playoff for third.

Key Match-Up: Baser Amer vs. Scottie Thompson-Thompson is set to be crowned as the MVP after scorching hot this season. Amer, on the other hand, provided the leadership that catapulted the Red Lions to the top, keeping their journey for a five-peat at the right track.
