Rain causes delay of game, Big Dome says

The management of the Smart Araneta Coliseum said that the stormy weather led to a power failure that led to the temporary postponement of the Ateneo-NU game at the said venue.

In an official statement, the arena management said, "The power fluctuation during the game was due to severe weather conditions outside. Circuits of the whole Cubao and Kamuning area were affected."

The fluctuation forced a ten-minute delay of the knockout semifinal game.

The game eventually continued, with Alfred Aroga blocking Kiefer Ravena's layup in the end, leading to NU's win, 65-63.

Inclement weather also led to a power outage at the FilOil Flying V Arena, where Perpetual Help and CSB clashed in a critical NCAA game.
