The NBA announced the extension of its broadcast partnership with Solar and ABSCBN.

In the new agreement, both Solar, via Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV, and ABSCBN, through its main channel and the Sports and Action network, will televise more than 30 games per week.

Also, both networks will continue to air WNBA games.

"We've come a long way from a simple idea in 2001 to bring the NBA to avid Filipino basketball fans," said Wilson Tieng, the president of Solar Entertainment.

On the other hand, ABSCBN Narrowcast head March Ventosa said, "We are pleased to bring the NBA closer to all our Kapamilya nationwide via non-stop NBA basketball action throughout the season, on both ABSCBN and ABSCBN Sports and Action channels."

NBA Asia Managing Director Scott Levy also expressed optimism in the renewed partnership.

"As part of this partnership, we will create new and unique content to bring the best NBA action to our passionate Filipino fans."
