Scottie Thompson will be officially handed the NCAA Most Valuable Player award after the list of individual awards has been revealed.

Thompson, who averaged a rare double-double among guards of 17 points and 11 rebounds along with five assists and almost two steals a game, led the Perpetual Help Altas back to the Final Four.

Thompson will also head the Mythical selection together with teammate Harold Arboleda, San Beda's Ola Adeogun, San Sebastian's Bradwyn Guinto, and Arellano's Jio Jalalon.

Jalalon, for his part, won the Most Improved Player as his quarterbacking helped take the Chiefs to their first Finals appearance in their six-season stay in the league.

Meanwhile, Jalalon's teammate Dioncee Holts beat Lyceum's Joseph Gabayni for the Rookie of the Year plum.

The 6-6 American reinforcement of Arellano made an impression during the second round that helped him overtake the 6-5 Lyceum big man for the top freshman plum.

Gabayni, however, will be the recipient of the Defensive Player of the Year as he will headline the All-Defensive Team which includes Thompson, Adeogun, Guinto, and JRU's Abdul Abdul-Wahab.
