PBA Commissioner Chito Salud slapped NLEX's Enrico Villanueva and Rain Or Shine's Ryan Araña with fines even as rookie Jericho Cruz did not escape from sanctions for the brawl that marred the preseason game between the Road Warriors and the Elastopainters almost two weeks ago.
Both Villanueva and Araña, who were mainly involved in the tussle as the latter retaliated after getting elbowed while driving to the lane, will pay PHP40,000 each.
A third player, ROS' Jervy Cruz, was also meted a PHP40,000 fine for his part in the brawl.
Jervy Cruz kicked Villanueva while the latter was down on the floor.
Jericho Cruz, on the other hand, will pay PHP20,000 for throwing the ball at Villanueva as a reaction to the elbow foul.
The NLEX-ROS brawl happened just four days after the infamous Mapua-EAC melee.
