"Who's battling who?" Final Four teams battle for seedings

The NCAA semifinal teams will get a tuneup game of sorts tomorrow before the Final Four proper as they will settle their final rankings at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

The JRU Heavy Bombers and the Perpetual Help Altas tangle in the 2:00 PM game for third place.

The Altas entered the Final Four on the final day of the eliminations following Letran's shock win against CSB that knocked out the latter in heartbreaking fashion.

Both teams are tied at 12-6 at the end of the elimination round.

On the other hand, the San Beda Red Lions and the Arellano Chiefs will battle one more time at 4:00 PM to decide which team will finish on top.

The Red Lions slipped out of the number one spot after losing to the Chiefs five nights ago on a last-second layup by Ralph Salcedo, pushing the latter to the top of the league table.

San Beda, however, got another chance to get the number one seed after Arellano fell short of a huge comeback and lost to Lyceum, 96-101, last night.

The Red Lions and the Chiefs ended up tied at 13-5.

The winner of the second game, who owns a twice-to-beat advantage come the semis, will battle the loser of the first game in one Final Four match-up.

The two other teams will face off in another semifinal clash with the loser of the nightcap also holding a twice-to-beat edge.
