The Philippine Azkals ended their pre-AFF Suzuki Cup friendly series on a high note after blanking Cambodia, 3-0, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila City.
Daisuke Sato opened the scoring with a beautiful goal at the 13th minute, while Manny Ott made it 2-0 at the 40th.
After a relatively uneventful 50-minute span, Phil Younghusband sealed the win with his 40th international goal.
Both teams used the contest to measure their readiness for the Suzuki Cup.
The Azkals, who bounced back from a 0-3 humbling by Thailand last Sunday, will leave for Hanoi, Vietnam for the said tournament on Tuesday.
