Galang takes over as La Salle beats Adamson in four sets

Ara Galang sizzled for the De La Salle Lady Spikers as they defeated the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-23, 24-26, 25-14, 25-17, in the nightcap of the UAAP Women's Volleyball games at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.

Galang, the Lady Spikers' new team captain, scored a game-high 27 points on 22 spikes and five blocks.

The Lady Spikers bucked a slow start in the first set and subdued the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons, however, stopped another impending Lady Spikers' comeback in the ensuing set and a Jessica Galanza ace capped the set win.

La Salle finally went off to a good start in the third set and smoothly cruised to the set victory.

Despite another slow start in thr fourth set, La Salle pulled away later in the set to seal its first win.

Camille Cruz came off the bench and added ten points for the Lady Spikers.

Amanda Villanueva led the Lady Falcons with 16 markers.
