Ginebra banks on late explosion to trounce hapless Barako

Ginebra used a second half barrage to depose Barako Bull, 94-75, in the nightcap of the PBA Philippine Cup doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Gin Kings, who trailed by as much as 13 late in the second quarter, outscored the Energy, 57-33, in the second half, highlighted by a 30-14 fourth quarter spurt to move up to 5-1 while keeping their opponents winless after five outings.

Joseph Yeo scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Ginebra.

Dennis Miranda had a game-high 19 for Barako.

Paolo Hubalde, who was acquired in a trade with San Miguel for Jeric Fortuna, debuted for Barako and tallied two points.
