Purefoods bounced back from huge loss on Sunday after trouncing NLEX, 92-76, in the nightcap of the PBA Philippine Cup games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
After being dealt a 66-89 beating by the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel at the same venue five nights ago, the Hotshots cruised to a wire-to-wire win against the Road Warriors despite the latter chopping an 18-point lead to just nine with five minutes left.
P.J. Simon led Purefoods with 20 points.
Asi Taulava, on the other hand, scored a game-high 21 for NLEX.
