Red Lions stay alive in Finals hunt after mauling Bulldogs

In a clash of champions, NCAA titleholders San Beda Red Lions reigned supreme over UAAP winners NU Bulldogs with a 75-62 win in the resumption of the PCCL playoffs at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Red Lions banked on a 21-6 third quarter blitz to depose the Bulldogs and stay in contention for a spot in the national finals.

Ola Adeogun led San Beda with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting along with ten rebounds, an assist, and a block.

Arth Dela Cruz added 18 markers on an 8-of-11 clip from the field with ten boards, three dimes, and two steals.

Overall, the Red Lions were effective on the floor as they made 51 percent of their field goals compared to the Bulldogs' 46 percent.

San Beda, now at 2-1, will need to beat Arellano in their NCAA Finals rematch tomorrow to book a slot in the Finals.

Gelo Alolino scored 16 points off the bench for the Bulldogs.
