Former national team coach Robert Jaworski expressed readiness of having another international coaching stint with Gilas.
When asked about the said matter by various media outfits, he said, "It is not a bad idea, because it's a calling.... It's a great honor if this will happen."
But Jaworski also said, "Huwag nating pangunahan [ang SBP sa kanilang paghahanap sa bagong Gilas coach]."
The SBP is currently re-evaluating the Gilas program while setting up the criteria that will determine the next coach.
Tim Cone and Tab Baldwin are also among the coaches being considered for the job.
Incumbent Gilas coach Chot Reyes offered to have his name withdrawn from the list, effectively stepping down as the mentor.
