Arwind Santos had an almost flawless game to lead his San Miguel Beermen to a 103-89 win against at the resumption of the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Santos made 27 points on 9-of-10 shooting with five triples in the game the Beermen needed to escape in the last two minutes.
San Miguel led by as much as 12 points in the third quarter, 68-56.
But Barako Bull stormed back to even take the lead, 74-73, at one point in the fourth period.
The Beermen looked to pull away anew as they get back the lead, 89-83, with under three minutes left.
But the Energy responded with four straight points to cut the lead to two with 1:43 to go.
San Miguel finally nailed the win on a game-ending 14-2 run.
Former Beerman Dennis Miranda led Barako Bull with 17 markers.
