Thailand completed a three-game sweep of the AFF Suzuki Cup group stage after blanking Myanmar, 2-0, in Group B play in Singapore.

Tanaboon Kesarat opened the scoring for the Thais in the 12th minute as he fired a rocket goal that hit the top post before going in.

Despite controlling the ball for a majority of the first half, the Burmese team only attempted two shots on target that were all saved by Kawin Tammasatchanan.

The Thai defense continued its domination for most of the second half, and Prakit Deeporm sealed the win with an 83rd minute goal.

Thailand finished the group stage on top of Group B with a perfect nine points while eliminating Myanmar, which ended with only a single point, from contention.

The Thais will meet the Philippine Azkals, who finished second in Group A, in the two-legged semifinals beginning next Saturday at the latter's home turf, which will be announced at a later date.

The return leg will take place in Bangkok on December 10.

Thailand last played the Philippines in a friendly last month with the Thais winning at home, 3-0.
