UST pulled off an impressive start to its UAAP women's volleyball campaign with a 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 victory over UE in the first match of the tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Captain Pam Lastimosa and rookie EJ Laure led the Tigresses to their early blast over the retooled Lady Warriors with 12 and eight points respectively.
Angelica Dacaymar made six points for the Lady Warriors, who are now coached by Francis Vicente.
