Hannah Dato gave the Philippines its tenth gold medal in the penultimate day of the ASEAN University Games in Palembang, Indonesia.
The Ateneo swimmer scored the win in the women's 200-meter individual medley, finishing the race in 2:21.13, a second faster than Malaysian Cai Lin, who clocked in at 2:22.21.
Ressa Dewi of Indonesia grabbed the bronze after ending the race at 2:22.73.
Dato won her third gold medal in the games having won the 50-meter and 100-meter butterfly finals.
Aside from the ten golds, the Philippine contingent consisting of UAAP athletes also took home ten silvers and 18 bronzes, good for fifth place in the overall race with one day left in the competition.
Indonesia remains in the overall lead with a 57-68-43 tally, while Thailand and Malaysia round up the Top 3.
