Willie Miller and Chito Loyzaga are set to get their places in the elite list of PBA greats as they head the 15 new players who will become part of the league's greatest players list after a deliberation on Monday.
As per The Philippine Star's Nelson Beltran, Ildefonso and Miller will be joined by fellow legends Kerby Raymundo, and Marlou Aquino and current stars James Yap, Danny Ildefonso, Asi Taulava, Eric Menk, Kelly Williams, Jayjay Helterbrand, Jimmy Alapag, Mark Caguioa, Arwind Santos, Jayson Castro, and Marc Pingris.
A special nomination committee that consists of PBA chairman Patrick Gregorio, vice chairman Robert Non, Rep. Elpidio Barzaga, journalists Joaquin Henson and Barry Pascua, and PBA greats Robert Jaworski and Freddie Webb met for two hours to discuss the addition of the 15 players to the PBA Greatest Players list that was first released in 2000 during the league's 25th anniversary.
Jaworski and Webb were part of the first 25 players included in the list.
The PBA Greatest Players update served as a highlight for the league's 40th anniversary on April 9, 2015.
