Purefoods pulled away in the last three periods to wallop Barako Bull, 99-83, in the first game of the PBA's first tripleheader in two years at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
After a close first quarter where the Hotshots led the Energy, 27-23, the Hotshots began the rout in the second quarter, where they increased the gap to 14, 52-38, at the half.
