Ateneo leaned on a huge third quarter run to turn back UE, 84-60, in their UAAP juniors basketball clash at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
The Blue Eaglets blast the Pages, 29-8, in the third period to turn a 42-37 halftime lead to a 71-45 rout entering the fourth and never looked back.
Matthew Nieto led Ateneo, which is now 6-0, with 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while his brother Mike added a double-double of ten points and ten rebounds.
Kent Contorno and Paul Dagunan each had 15 markers for UE, which actually led, 20-17, after one quarter but got bludgeoned, 40-77, the rest of the way to remain winless in six outings.
