Fil-Am MMA star Brandon Vera made a successful return to the cage after a year of sabbatical with a knockout win against Philippine-based Ukrainian Igor Subora in a heavyweight match-up at the One FC fight card at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Vera, who last played in 2013 in the UFC, rocked the sold-out MOA Arena in his very first MMA fight in the Philippines by dropping a left straight to Subora that knocked him out for good late in the first round.
The 37-year-old veteran, who also played his One FC debut, moved up to 13-7.
