Brandon Vera has a message to those who criticize his MMA career.
"F*** them," Vera told reporters during the One FC open media workout at the Elorde Fight Factory when asked about an online comment saying that his career has become less significant.
A certain cochra27 said on Reddit that Vera "hasn't won a meaningful fight since 2006", when he beat Frank Mir in the UFC.
But Vera staved off the comment and said, "I win and I fight because of me. I don't care what the other people's opinions are about me."
He added, "That's why I'm 'The Truth'. I don't care what you think."
What is Vera's message to his bashers? "F*** off!" he said.
He, however, vowed that he will beat Igor Subora convincingly at the Mall of Asia Arena.
"I don't care if it's a knockout or a submission. I just wanna whoop [Subora's] ass," Vera said.
On the other hand, he dedicated his upcoming fight against Subora on Friday to his family.
His aunt actually came to join him in his open workout.
Vera also dedicated the bout to the fans who never gave up on him.
