The Philippine Azkals moved up a notch in the latest FIFA rankings.
The Azkals, despite losing to Thailand in the AFF Suzuki Cup semifinals, soared to 129th place overall with 221 points and remained the top Southeast Asian football team.
They also stayed in 17th place among Asian nations.
The Thais, despite eventually winning the said tournament, dropped two spots to 144th overall.
Malaysia, which fell short of a comeback in the second leg of the championship series, stayed at 154th overall.
There was no change among the top 45 teams in the FIFA rankings as Germany remained on top with 1725 points followed by Argentina.
Bahrain got the biggest gain as it moved up by 12 notches to 110th overall.
Jordan, meanwhile, had the largest decline after losing 12 spots to 93rd overall.
