Ginebra-Meralco match highlights Commissioner's Cup opening night

Ginebra and Meralco will face other in the opening night of the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup.

In the official release of the schedule for the said import-laden conference, the Gin Kings and the Bolts will battle in the second game of the very first night on January 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM.

In the curtain-raiser, Kia and GlobalPort will grace the court at 4:00 PM.

Meanwhile, Barako Bull, Blackwater, and losing Philippine Cup semifinalists Talk 'n Text and Rain Or Shine will play on the second gameday the night after at the nearby Cuneta Astrodome.

The Energy and Elite clash at 4:00 PM, while the Tropang Texters and the Elasto Painters collide at 7:00 PM.

Purefoods will debut on January 30 also at the Cuneta Astrodome against the Batang Pier at 7:00 PM after the Bolts take on the Sorentos at 4:00 PM.

The Alonte Sports Center in Binan City will host a doubleheader on the first Sunday of the tournament right on the first day of February.

Blackwater will face Talk 'n Text at 3:00 PM, and Ginebra will try to get past Barako Bull at 5:30 PM.

NLEX will make its first appearance in the Commissioner's Cup on February 3 at 4:00 PM against Rain Or Shine at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Alaska, which currently leads its best-of-seven Philippine Cup finals series against San Miguel, will debut in the Commissioner's Cup against Purefoods at 7:00 PM, right after the NLEX-Rain Or Shine game.

The Beermen will only make their initial outing in the Commissioner's Cup against the Sorentos on February 4 at 4:00 PM before the Tropang Texters and the Bolts play versus one another at 7:00 PM.

On March 11, the PBA will have its only visit of the conference at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, where it will be Blackwater versus Alaska at 4:00 PM and Ginebra versus NLEX at 7:00 PM.

Mindanao will host six PBA out-of-town games beginning February 7, when Alaska and NLEX play at Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The following Saturday, Purefoods and Rain Or Shine battle in Dipolog City.

San Miguel and Meralco battle at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan De Oro City on February 21, while on February 28, rookie clubs Kia and Blackwater face off in Tubod, Lanao Del Norte.

The Hotshots will return to Mindanao to face the Tropang Texters on March 14 at the USEP Gym in Davao City, and the Saturday later, the Gin Kings and the Batang Pier fight in Panabo City.

The league will take a seven-day conference break from March 4 to 10 to give way to the All-Star festivities at the Puerto Princesa City Coliseum.

The single round-robin elimination round of the Commissioner's Cup will run until March 25.
