By Dugout Philippines

San Beda reestablished its dominance in the NCAA football play after routing Lyceum, 4-0, to sweep the tournament at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila City.

Jay Soberano put the Red Booters up in the 38th minute, while Miguel Caindec duplicated just seconds into the second half.

The Pirates, who made a one-season turnaround into championship contenders, thought they remained in the game after they shot a goal in the 66th minute. The referee, however, nullified the goal.

Jim Flores sealed San Beda's win after he scored two goals in the 81st and the 86 minutes.

Flores eventually won the Best Attacker award, while Soberano claimed the Best Midfielder plum.

Christopher Pedimonte took home the Coach of the Year honor.

Matthew Asong capped a brilliant season by winning the Most Valuable Player award.
