Christian Zubiri nailed the game-winning goal to push La Salle to a 2-1 win against UST in their UAAP football clash at the FEU Diliman Football Field in Quezon City.
Zubiri scored a header off a Nate Alquiros assist just before stoppage time to give the Green Booters their 15th point of the tournament, enough to catapult them to the top of the league table with the UP-FEU game playing as of press time.
La Salle can stay in first place if both UP and FEU draw their match.
Gelo Diamante opened the scoring for the Green Booters at the 18th minute.
But Gab Alcantara responded for the Growling Tigers in the 48th minute as they looked to pull the upset draw before Zubiri fired the go-ahead goal.
