Ateneo needed a late fight back in each of the three sets before taking down FEU, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23, at the resumption of the UAAP women's volleyball games at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Eagles trailed by as much as five, 7-12, in the first set but crawled back to take the set.
The Lady Tamaraws again led by five in the next set only to see the Lady Eagles come back and win it anew.
Ateneo tried to go for the kill as the team took a 15-10 lead midway through the third frame.
But FEU crawled back and even led, 22-20.
The Lady Eagles finished the match with a 5-1 run to stay unbeaten in 11 matches.
Alyssa Valdez led Ateneo with 25 points on 23 spikes and two aces.
