MANILA--Green Archers pulled off a surprise 1-1 draw against Global last week, and team captain Chieffy Caligdong said that his club has braced for the challenging events in the season.

"We're expecting a tough game [against Global]," Caligdong told Dugout Philippines.

Still, the former Azkals skipper believed that the Archers made their presence felt against the defending UFL champions, who will also participate in the AFC Cup.

Caligdong continued, "We tried our best na mapakita sa [crowd] na... we can do something [to beat Global]."

Now, he and his team look forward to more difficult tasks to come this season, especially beating the other powerhouse clubs, Kaya, Loyola, and Ceres.

"Matagal na namin itong pinagpaguran, yung preparation namin for six months bago kami sumalang dito sa UFL. We have to do something para mapakita sa mga high-level clubs na game [kami]," Caligdong bared.

The Green Archers United collides with Kaya in the main event of the UFL doubleheader at the Rizal Memorial Stadium at 8 p.m.

In the first match at 5 p.m., Loyola takes on first division newcomer Manila Jeepney.
