James Younghusband hits double as Loyola downs Pachanga

By Ivan Saldajeno

MANILA--Younghusband waxed hot in Loyola's win against Pachanga. James, that is.

With younger brother Phil sitting out anew, midfielder James Younghusband showed his inner striker as he nailed two goals in Loyola's 4-0 rout of Pachanga in their UFL tie at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday night.

Tahj Minniecon, who scored Loyola's opening goal on a Younghusband assist in the third minute, returned the favor and crossed the ball to Younghusband, who headed the ball in half an hour into the match.

Younghusband scored his other goal off a penalty after Anthony Putrus-Schnell got fouled inside the box in the 63rd minute.

Jeremy Caygill netted Loyola's other goal in the 47th minute.

Loyola tied Kaya at second place in the league table with nine points behind Global's ten with Kaya taking the number two spot on goal difference.
