MANILA--To give way to the UAAP men's football semifinals on the same day, the UFL on Wednesday announced the postponement of two matches scheduled for Sunday.
In a supposed triple-header at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Division 2 clubs Agila and Mendiola are scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff, while the Kaya-Socceroo Division 1 match would follow suit.
However, with the pitch reserved for the UAAP knockout semifinals that will have La Salle and Ateneo clashing at 2 p.m. and FEU and UP colliding afterward, the professional league opted to give way. Some Agila players also play for Ateneo.
Kaya first announced the news through its social media channels.
Meanwhile, Ceres will still have its UFL return as scheduled as its match versus Pachanga will push through at 8 p.m. at the said venue right after the UAAP Final Four.
Ceres looks to bounce back from its heartbreaking AFC Cup qualifier defeat to Maziya on Feb. 17 as the club will play its first match in almost two weeks.
