MANILA--Kaya banked on two first half goals to beat Green Archers, 2-0, in the nightcap of the UFL doubleheader at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Masa Omura scored the first goal for Kaya ten minutes into the match as he got a touch of the ball after Chris Greatwich's free kick partially hit the Green Archers' wall and shot the pointblank attempt past Paolo Pascual.

O.J. Porteria then found himself all alone against Pascual and drilled the other goal for Kaya just before the break.

Louis Clark almost made it 3-0 as he also found himself on a one-on-one with Pascual. The assistant referee, however, found Clark offside.

Nevertheless, Kaya's defense helped give Nick O'Donnell his second straight clean sheet as his club went past Loyola in the league table on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Green Archers, which opted to sit out Chieffy Caligdong, remained winless in two matches.
