La Salle sent UST back to earth with a 25-21, 25-9, 25-18 win in their UAAP women's volleyball clash at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
After going toe-to-toe with the Tigresses for most of the first set, the Lady Spikers pulled away in the second set and continued the dominance in the third as they secured the other twice-to-beat advantage come the playoff round.
Ara Galang led La Salle, which only trails Ateneo by a full game for first place, with 17 points on 15 spikes. Cyd Demecillo added 12 points on 10 spikes and two aces.
Pam Lastimosa, who had a resurgence during UST's four-game winning streak, only scored six points along with Marivic Meneses and E.J. Laure.
