"Big" Mike Nieto is set to win big in the UAAP juniors' basketball individual awards as he won the MVP race.

After the calculations made by official statistician Imperium, the Ateneo High School star amassed 75 statistical points, enough to beat twin brother Matt and fellow RP Youth Team member Mark Dyke.

Dyke, NU High School's top player, finished in second with 65.8571, while Matt Nieto had 64 for third place.

Despite his team only winning twice, UPIS' Javi Gomez De Liano still made the top ten as he finished ninth with 48.1429 SP's.

Mike Nieto averaged a double-double of 16.4 points and 11.9 rebounds along with 2.2 assists and 0.9 steal per game for the Blue Eaglets after the elimination round.

Dyke and Gomez De Liano also averaged double-doubles. Dyke made 13.4 points and 14.5 rebounds a match, while Gomez De Liano had 10.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per outing.
