The "People's Fist" may get some minutes against the "People's Club".
Kia's playing coach Manny Pacquiao could opt to insert himself against Ginebra in their PBA Commissioner's Cup showdown at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
According to PBA's website, a Kia team source said, “Pagbalik [ni Pacquiao] from the US, active na bumalik sa ensayo. Malamang lumaro against Ginebra.”
Pacquiao returned to his PBA club last Sunday after spending a week in Miami as a judge for Miss Universe, even meeting potential boxing opponent Floyd Mayweather at an NBA game there. The eight-division world boxing champion, however, put a DNP on himself and witnessed Kia succumbing to Barako Bull, 86-95, in that game.
Despite the loss that quickly sent the Carnival back to earth after a breakthrough win against the San Miguel Beermen, P.J. Ramos continued to make impressions.
The former Washington Wizard averaged a 20-20 per outing, 36.3 points and 20.3 rebounds to be precise, for Kia, which looks to add Ginebra to its upset list in their 7 P.M. clash.
The Gin Kings are fresh from beating the Beermen last Sunday, but the locals may still need to step up for Mike Dunigan, who only made 19 points and 13 rebounds per game.
In the opener of the doubleheader at 4 P.M., the Energy look to once again join the Meralco Bolts and the Purefoods Star Hotshots at the top as they take on the Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters
