In a rare moment, Greg Slaughter and Junemar Fajardo will play for one team.
The seven-foot Slaughter and 6-10 Fajardo garnered the most votes in the PBA All-Star balloting, in which the results were revealed.
The San Miguel Beerman from UC topped the balloting with 38,107 votes, while the Ginebra Gin King, who played for UV before transferring to Ateneo, was second with 31,310.
Reverting to the north-versus-south format for the Mar. 8 showcase at the Puerto Princesa City Coliseum, it would be a three-center formation for the South All-Stars as NLEX's Asi Taulava took the other South frontline spot after getting 24,062 votes for his PBA-record 13th All-Star cap.
The Purefoods guard combo of James Yap (22,937) and Mark Barroca (15,197) will complete the starting unit of Alex Compton's South team.
Marc Pingris, on the other hand, will lead the North All-Stars of Coach Leo Austria as Purefoods' star big man amassed 23,947 votes.
Alaska's Calvin Abueva (22,670) and Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar (18,334) will join Pingris in the North frontline.
Justin Melton made it four for the Hotshots as he got selected to his first All-Star game with 12,312 votes. Joining him at the North guards is Ginebra's Mark Caguioa, who garnered 15,076 votes.
